Lagos state is one of the 36 states in Nigeria, it is the smallest and yet the most popular of all the states in Nigeria. Lagos state is dominated by bodies of water, there are lagoons, creeks and rivers, still it is one of the most desired states to be lived in.

Apart from being desirable, Lagos state has a lot of beautiful places that people would love to visit with a lot of fun areas. Lagos is a wonderful tourist attraction both for those living in it and others coming from all over.

1. TARKWA BAY

Takwa Bay is indeed a beautiful sight, it is located near the Lagos Harbour, and it is a good place to go have fun, a get away from the city chaos. Takwa Bay can be accessible by boats and ferries.  It is a great place for swimmers and lovers of sports and if you also love to have a quiet time then it is a good spot.  It has a beautiful cabin and nice surroundings. If you ever visit Lagos look out for Takwa Bay.

2. LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTRE

Ever wondered about some natural sights you see in movies? Lekki Conservative Centre is one of those beautiful sights you would love to behold. Established in 1990 by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) it’s an environment education Centre. It is a reserve of Lekki Peninsula. The canopy bridge, which is regarded as the longest canopy walk in Africa, there are  different animals, fish ponds, a tree house, a swamp look out station, floor games and lots more. You could also take good pictures and learn as much as possible about nature and do not leave out the fun part because you would have lots of fun.

3. NIKE CETRE FOR ART AND CULTURE

A great peek into Nigeria’s cultures, a four storey building with over 7000 pieces of creative arts. Nike Centre is an art gallery and textile museum. If you are a lover of arts then Nike Arts Centre is for you. There are beautiful crafts such as beads, carvings and paintings. You can also take a tour through her arts outside of Lagos in Kogi State, Osun and Abuja. Don’t miss out.

4. NATIONAL THEATRE NIGERIA

National theatre of Nigeria can best be described as “the national home of entertainment. It is located in Iganmu, Surulere, and Lagos. It is a preserve and promotion of Arts and Culture in Nigeria. It is a magnificent edifice. The exterior is designed and built to look like a military hat. It is not everywhere you get to see such places. It’s a beautiful sight to behold. National Theater is a great place for art performances. You should check it out

5. ELEGUSHI BEACH

Elegushi beach is a private beach owned by the Elegushi royal family. Located at Lekki, lagos, Nigeria. It’s beautiful white sand, and surroundings gives a pleasant feeling and it is seen as one of the best in the coutry.

6. WHISPERING PALMS RESORT

Now this resort is a beauty, it’s aesthetics is captivating, this is one resort you should try out, it is open for family get together, groups and friends. Do not worry you won’t be bored at all.

7. NIGERIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

Nigerian National Museum was constructed to preserve the artifacts of Nigeria. It is a collection of artifacts belonging to different ethnic groups in Nigeria. It also includes archaeological and ethnographic exhibits. The Nigerian National Museum is a good place to learn about the Nigerian History, should I add that Museums are always a beauty.

8. FREEDOM PARK

Located in the heart of downtown Lagos, Old prison ground broad street Lagos. Freedom park is an open air gathering space and a pace for a good night life. Its environment is colorful, great food and events. Plus it is a good place to bond and meet new people.

9. TERRA KULTURE

Owned by the beautiful Mrs. Bolanle  Austen-Peters who has a great passion and respect for all cultures in Nigeria. She set up the studio in 2003 as an educational and recreational organization. It has attracted and entertained distinguished individuals both home and abroad.

From the entrance to the art gallery, restaurant, stair wall and its theatre room, all breathtaking, you could call it a work of art.

10. Hi- IMPACT PLANET AMUSEMENT PARK

Amusement parks are always beautiful and Hi- Impact is top notch. It is a world class amusement park with interesting and adventurous games for all age ranges and a good spot for a family time out. It is located towards the outskirt of Lagos, the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

You could go hang out at the amusement park, you won’t regret it.
